At the heart of my art and business is a recognition of the inherent worth of every single person.

For several years now I have been exploring this value using flowers and photography. I initially titled this project “Mirrors” and sought funding to develop the project further via the Arts Council.

In spring 2022, I travelled to Belgium, spending a week in the studios and gardens with Emily of Fleuropean. This week was funded with a grant from the Arts Council, and it was here that I had the time, materials, and support to begin developing my work as an artist.

I remain profoundly interested in people, and the role of flowers in art, the power of representation and the role of the artist as mediator.
