Mid summer
Flowers befitting a midsummer wedding in the heart of Sussex.
A quaint church full to the brim of friends and family, the entryway framed with a tumbling arch of Birch foliage and garden flowers to welcome guests.
A marquee set up in the grounds of the family home in East Sussex.
The palette here was all shades of mid-tone pink to soft shell pink, creams and whites, with a wash of powder blue.
Paddling across the lake as husband and wife.
Working with the groom’s family and having access to the wonderfully designed and maintained private gardens of the family home in the run up to the wedding was a strong influence on the flowers.
The tiny star-shaped flowers of Amsonia alongside the graceful arching grasses created a lightness and elegance of movement to the table centrepieces.
Other flowers were turkscap Lilies, Roses, Oxypetalum, Achillea, Scabiosa, Carnation, Gladiolus and the beautiful creamy bracts of Cornus kousa.
