Lucy & Rich
Canterbury Cathedral and Port Lympne, Kent
New Year’s Eve
Roses, Roses, Roses.
With Parrot Tulips, Orchids and Ranunculus.
I will always remember New Year’s Eve now for the very special celebration of Lucy and Rich. Gathering friends and family into the Crypt of the incredible Canterbury Cathedral, lit by candles and echoing with the cathedral choir…there’s not much to top that.
Flowers in the cathedral were muted and understated, a finishing touch rather than a show piece. The pale, washed-out stone of the cathedral created such a beautiful, surprisingly warm, backdrop for the candlelight and florals.
Colours were soft pink, salmon, cream and white with shots of apricot and orange.
Jessica Lily took some incredible photos, particularly capturing the joy and effortless style of both Lucy - in her Rime Arodaky jumpsuit and Jimmy Choo’s - and Rich in his tails.
At the newly opened Orangery at Port Lympne, tables were adorned with bowls of Roses, texture-full Spanish Moss, Carnations and Ranunculus, alongside handfuls of Kumquats, Clementines and Persimmons.
